Question

Using predictive lifetime value for Meta (FB) ads

I’ve created a predictive LTV trait and want to leverage it via FB ads, especially for new customer acquisition.

Is this limited to pushing it as an audience and creating a lookalike etc or is there a more sophisticated way to use this to find likely high LTV new customers?

It is not limited to pushing it as an audience. You can also add this to your data warehouse and use as an additional variable for data analysis.

Thanks Andrew. Good to know it can be used for data analysis but what I’m really trying to determine is how to leverage it via Meta (FB/IG) ads for new customer acquisition. e.g can I somehow push via CAPI or is it really just an audience to use for lookalikes.

Hi @Grant Perry

If I’m understanding right, the issue might be that you can’t push the audience or predictive trait to CAPI because it’s just a Connections destination and not an Engage destination (where the predictive modeling occurs is in Engage and therefore needs an Engage destination to send to). But you want to use that trait for Meta ads and new-user targeting.
From asking around internally there are a couple directions worth looking into. You could set up ID Sync with the Customized Setup option and select the particular predictive trait you would like to flow downstream. From there the trait would pass to the destination(s) you need it to which would include the Meta destinations (might not include CAPI) connected to Engage I believe.
Otherwise, a more complicated workaround could be to set up a destination insert function if it’s truly needed in CAPI.

Let me know if this helps!
